Whale watching is one of Mauritius’ most unforgettable ocean experiences, offering the chance to see these incredible animals up close in the open sea.
Whale watching is another remarkable experience in Mauritius, giving you the chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural environment. Boats get close enough for you to enjoy an unforgettable view of the whales while taking in the beauty of the open ocean.
The cruise to the whale area usually takes around 2 hours, and the full excursion lasts about 4 hours. Some tours may offer whale watching together with dolphin swimming, but this is generally not recommended, as there is still a long boat ride after the swim and you may feel cold and uncomfortable.
Please note that swimming with whales is not allowed in Mauritius.
