In the Pamplona district, which is located near the capital city of Mauritius, there are unique and well-kept botanical gardens that cover hundreds of acres. This attraction is light, allows all ages to view the beautiful nature up close. You can join the guide and hear stories and interesting things about the local tropical plants and you can also do the tour by yourself. There are many gardens and the area is large, so you may not visit all the gardens – and that’s okay. It is highly recommended to visit the palm tree area where you can see about 100 varieties of palm trees from all over the world and the water lilies area. The gardens are open from 8:30. Last visitors at 17:00.
Cost : 380 Mauritian rupees per adult, children under 5 free.
Length : It is recommended to visit there for at least an hour and a half. The length of the tours with the guide varies according to your choice – each hour of the guide costs 50 Mauritian rupees per person.
It is recommended to bring with you : mosquito repellent, water, hat, camera.
Tips : You don’t always connect with the guide, so if you are not interested in information about the past of the place and the vegetation, do the tour alone and enjoy the nature.
