Post recommendations for Seychelles (January 2023) – with emphasis on Constance Afilia.
Our group was a couple + a two-year-old toddler, and another couple (my husband’s parents).
We closed flights + hotel through Stav Menoh Tours – he offers the best price (we checked all the recommended agents) and we also really enjoyed working with him, the service was excellent!
You have written a lot about the hotel here, so I will try not to repeat what everyone writes and will only add more detailed information for those who want to delve into the details.
First of all, the most important tip is to close full board and not half board! Please note that it is not always possible to do this at the time of booking (the option does not even exist on the hotel’s website) but later you can ask to add the lunch. It works out really well. It costs 30 euros per person per meal, which is roughly the cost of a main course in the hotel restaurants – but you get a 3-course meal – first course, main course and dessert for each diner.
Children up to a certain age (not sure if it’s 3 or 6) get free food from the children’s menu everywhere in the hotel (all restaurants, bars, and even when booking a room). I will try to attach a photo of the menu so you can see what dishes are there.
The evening buffet is nothing more than nice, depending on the day… the restaurants in my opinion are much more worth it.
Regarding the restaurants, when you arrive they seat you at the reception bar until you are checked in. Use this time to sit with the restaurant reservations girl (she has her own position in that area) and close restaurants for the entire stay. At most, cancel if you don’t like it.
We recommend Adam&Eve and Helios but here is the full breakdown:
The restaurants in the hotel:
Seselwa – located in the northern region. Pretty bad lunch, minus a nice evening. Worth trying once for the experience.
Cayenne (cyann) – found in the northern area. A so-called upscale sushi restaurant (there is also a dress code), note that dinner is not included there but you get a credit of 400 rupees. Lunch (for those who have upgraded) has 2 starters and 2 main courses that you can only choose from. We had lunch there once, the starters were delicious, the hamburger for the main course was nothing.
Adam & Eve – Asian/Thai style restaurant in the southern area. The best restaurant in our opinion. Simply delicious food! We ate most of our meals there.
Helios – Italian restaurant in the southern area. At lunch they have a buffet concept of pizzas, pastas, salads and more… simply amazing!! Really really recommended for lunch!! For those who have not upgraded to full board, the buffet costs 50 euros per person. In the evening it is a normal menu, it was also really nice.
Regarding the rooms – we were in the junior suites, I don’t recommend booking the cheaper room. The junior suites are in the southern area on the beach. It is in buildings of 8 rooms – 4 downstairs, 4 upstairs. Every few buildings have a pool. The location is excellent, the rooms are large and spacious, really recommended. Those who want rooms with a connecting door recommend asking in advance and also reminding them about it!! There are very few such rooms (only the middle 2 on the bottom floor of each building).
Besides, it seems to me that they have already written everything, a really pampering resort and-n-k-! Even though it was fully occupied the place felt empty. The service is excellent (but slow, mind you).
If there are any more questions I will be happy to answer.
Hello to all group members,
After using the tips that came up in the group, we will be happy to share with you our tips for the perfect vacation in Seychelles
-
First and foremost, I would like to thank Stav Menoh Tourism who helped us plan the vacation from the first step, was available for any question or problem, and was happy to help with anything necessary (including dealing with changes we had before and during the vacation due to last minute flight changes and cancellations). Thanks Autumn!

The Constance Afilia Hotel was the perfect choice for our vacation – because the resort is huge and is in a tropical forest, you can find lots of quiet corners with few people, and even small, hidden beaches where we were alone. We really recommend everyone who is looking for a calm and quiet vacation to take this hotel.
-
In addition, another tip for kosher keepers, the hotel’s staff is knowledgeable about kosher in a way that amazed us, and adjusted the dishes especially for us as needed. We recommend contacting the hotel’s chef prior to arrival and informing them about your special requests.
Judith Meirovich
Huge thanks

There is no doubt that the vacation would have been less successful without him.
